Examination TextJane Archer aged 26 years in the workhouse of and in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields upon her oath saith that she is the wife of Richard Sewell Archer (gone from her) to whom she was married at the Fleet last December, that he is a Carpenter by trade and was bound an apprentice by indenture for seven years to Mr Hicks, a Carpenter who did lived in Dirty Lane in Long Acre in the Parish aforesaid, but how long he served his said Master she this Examinant cannot tell, but that the expiration of her said husband's indenture is not tell Aprill next, that he never kept house or rented a tenement of 10 pounds by the year. Taken in the workhouse 16th Day of September 1749.
