Examination Text | Jeremiah Knights aged 52 years and upwards in the workhouse of and in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields upon his oath saith that he is a Mercer by trade and lived in and rented an house the West side of Half Moon Street in the Strand in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields aforesaid for the space of one year at the yearly rent of 30 pounds besides taxes, quitted the same about two years and an half and hath not kept house rented a tenement of 10 pounds by the year paid any parish taxes or been a yearly hired servant in any one place for 12 months together since. Sworn the 27th Day of March 1751 before James Fraser. |
