Examination Text | James Maitland aged 53 years and upwards in the workhouse of and in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields upon his oath saith that he is a Gold Smith by trade and lived in and rented an house in Suffolk Street in the said Parish of St Martin in the Fields for the space of nine years at the yearly rent of 50 pounds besides taxes, quitted the same about 13 years ago, that he never kept house rented a tenement of 10 pounds by the year or paid any parish taxes since, that he hath no wife nor children. Taken in the workhouse the 30th Day of October 1750. |
