| Examination Text | Martha Kempster aged 31 years lodging with Mrs Smith at Mr Matthews a Chandler in that part of Exeter Street which is in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields upon her oath saith that she never was married, that she was a yearly hired servant to Mr George May in Exeter Street aforesaid for the space of seven years at the yearly wages of 5 pounds diet and lodging, quitted the same about three months ago, that she never kept house rented a tenement of 10 pounds by the year nor paid any parish taxes. Sworn the 21st Day of November 1752 before Benjamin Cox. |
