Examination Text | Sarah Castigne aged 47 years lodging at a house let out in tenements in Castle Court by Long Acre in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields upon her oath saith that she is the wife of George Castigne (now a pensioner in Chelsea College) to whom she was married at the Fleet 14 years ago, that he is a Peruke Maker by trade and served eight years apprenticeship to Mr Archer a Peruke Maker in St Martin's Court in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields aforesaid, and that he never kept house rented 10 pounds by the year paid any parish taxes nor been a yearly hired servant in any one place for 12 months together since. Sworn the third Day of January 1754 before Benjamin Cox. |
