Examination Text | Elizabeth Cadogan aged 26 years lodging at a house let out in tenements in Vinegar Yard in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields upon her oath saith that she never was married, that she was a yearly hired servant to Mr John Token a Victualler the corner of Broad Court in Long Acre in the said Parish of St Martin in the Fields for the space of 15 months at the yearly wages of 3 pounds diet and lodging, quitted the same nine years ago, that she never kept house rented a tenement of 10 pounds by the year paid any parish [taxes] nor hath been a yearly hired servant in any one place for 12 months together since. Sworn the eighth day of February in 1755 before entering Cox. |
