Examination Text | Mary Flanagan aged 25 years lodging at Mr Roche's is in Vine Street in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields upon her oath saith that she is the widow of James Flannagan (who died five years and an half ago) to whom she was married at the Fleet six years ago, that he served his apprenticeship to Mr Gearing a Shoemaker in New Street in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields aforesaid, that he never kept house rented a tenement of 10 pounds by the year paid any parish taxes nor was a yearly hired servant in any one place for 12 months together after the expiration of his said apprenticeship, that she this Examinant hath not kept house rented a tenement of 10 pounds by the year nor paid any parish taxes since the death of her said husband, that she hath one child living by her said husband to wit Edward aged five years the 16th Day of August last now with John Drawwater [sic], and this Examinant's uncle at Watford in the County of Hertford.
