Examination TextAlice Lacey aged 39 years destitute of lodging upon her oath saith that she is the wife of Peter Lacey (gone from her) to whom she was married the Fleet about 15 years ago, that he was born at Lothway in the city of Dublin in the Kingdom of Ireland, that he never did any act to gain a subsequent settlement, that she this Examinant was (before her intermarriage and while single) a yearly hired servant to Mrs Davis a Milk Woman in Blew Cross Street in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields for the space of 18 months at the yearly wages of 5 pounds diet and lodging, quitted the same about three months before her intermarriage, that she hath one child living by her said husband to wit Catherine aged six years now with this Examinant. Sworn the 21st Day of July 1758 before Thomas Balack.
