Examination TextCatherine Atkins aged 45 years destitute of lodging upon her oath saith that she is the wife of Edward Atkins (a soldier gone on the expedition) to whom she was married at the Fleet 8 years ago, that her said husband (as this Examinant hath been informed) was bound an apprentice by an indenture for seven years to Mr White a Silver Smith and Engraver and served the last 40 days of his apprenticeship with his said Master at the house (now Mr Julian's) the corner of Green Street in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields, that he never kept house rented a tenement of 10 pounds by the year paid any parish taxes nor hath been a yearly hired servant in any one place since the expiration of his apprenticeship to this Examinant's knowledge. Sworn the 28th day of June 1758 before Benjamin Cox.
