Examination TextHannah Wallhouse aged 45 years in the workhouse of and in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields passed as a vagrant from the Parish of Wolverhampton in the County of Stafford upon her oath saith that she is the widow of Thomas Wallhouse (who died about two years ago) to whom she was married at Diddleston in Wales 19 years ago, that her said husband was a Peruke Maker by trade and that she this Examinant hath often heard her said husband say that he her said husband served three years apprenticeship in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields aforesaid but to whom or the particular part she this Examinant cannot tell, that her said husband never kept house rented a tenement of 10 pounds by the year paid any parish taxes nor was a yearly hired servant in any one place for 12 months together since the service of the said apprenticeship to this Examinant's knowledge, nor hath she this Examinant since her said husband's death, that she hath one child living by her said husband to wit Mary aged 12 years and upwards now with this Examinant. Sworn the 20th Day of April 1758 before Benjamin Cox.
