| Examination Text | Benjamin Picket aged 37 years in the workhouse of and in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields upon his oath saith that he never was married, that he was a yearly hired servant to Mr Cross a Coachmaker in Long Acre in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields aforesaid for the space of 18 months at the yearly wages of 6 pounds diet and lodging, quitted the same 10 years ago, that he never kept house rented 10 pounds by the year paid any parish taxes nor hath been a yearly hired servant since. Taken in the workhouse the ninth day of February 1758. |
