Examination TextJane Foulcks aged about 47 years lodging at Mr La Roun's in St Martin's Lane in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields upon her oath saith that she is the wife of Daniel Foulcks (gone from her) to whom she was married at the Fleet between 15 and 16 years ago, that her said husband before his intermarriage and while single was a yearly hired servant to Mr Francis Caryl Mans Mercer in the Strand in the said Parish of St Martin in the Fields for the space of one whole year and upwards in yearly wages of 5 pounds diet and lodging, quitted the same about 16 years ago, that he hath not kept house rented a tenement of 10 pounds by the year or paid any parish taxes since. Sworn the 20th Day of July 1759 before Benjamin Cox.
