Examination TextJohn Burt aged 54 years in the workhouse of and in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields passed as a vagrant from the Parish of Weebley in the County of Hereford upon his oath saith that he was bound an apprentice by an indenture for seven years to Mr MacDonald a Peruke Maker in the said Parish of St Martin in the Fields, where he served about two years and an half and then he was turned over to one Leonard Robison in the said Parish of St Martin's whom he served about two years, but the said Master died and then he was bound over to William Simpson in the said Parish of St Martin's with whom he served out his time, and that he hath not been done any act to gain any other settlement, that he was married to Mary his late wife deceased at the Fleet about 16 years ago by whom he hath one child living to wit John aged six years now with this Examinant. Taken in the workhouse the [blank] Day of April 1762.
