Examination TextRobert Powell aged 30 years lodging in Langley Street in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields upon his oath saith that he never was bound an apprentice, that he was a covenant servant to his Father Jonathan Powell, a Leather Breeches Maker in New Round Court in the Parish aforesaid for one year the yearly wages of 10 pounds diet and lodging, that he never kept house rented 10 pounds by the year paid any parish taxes nor hath been a yearly hired servant in any one place for 12 months together since he quitted his Father's service, that his father lived in and rented an house in Round Court aforesaid for several years at the yearly rent of 26 pounds besides taxes, that he hath not kept house rented 10 pounds by the year nor paid any parish taxes since he quitted the house in Round Court, that he this Examinant was married to his present wife Mary at the Fleet 11 years ago by whom he hath two children living to wit Mary aged nine years and upwards and Ann aged 11 months both now with this Examinant.
