| Examination Text | Elizabeth Tagg aged 65 years lodging in the Almshouses in Hogg Lane upon her oath saith that she never was married, that she lived in and rented an house within one door of Hunts Court in St Martin's Lane in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields for the space of four years at the yearly rent of 36 pounds besides taxes, quitted the same in the year 1740, that she hath not kept house rented a tenement of 10 pounds by the year paid any parish taxes nor been a yearly hired servant in any one place for 12 months together since. Sworn the 19th Day of March 1765 before Benjamin Cox. |
