Examination TextThomas Davis aged 29 Years removed from St Sepulchre upon those Oath saith that world she was Single & unmarried he served Two Years andTen Months under a Yearly hiring with Mr Edward Woodmas a Wine merchant at No 38 ended Strand in the Parish of Saint Martin in the ffields act 8 Pounds by the Year Wages diet & lodging quitted the same ended Year 1782 since which hath not rented Ten Pounds by the Year been a Yearly hired Seven in any one place for Twelve Months together not done any Act to gain a subsequent Settlement , that he was Married to his present Wife Ann at the Parish Church of Saint Luke Street this 16th Day of November 1789. Sworn this 23d day of October the 1793 before me John Collick Thos Davis Chd dead
