Examination TextSarah Scaresbrook aged 24 years in the workhouse of and in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields upon her oath saith that she is the wife of Richard Scaresbrook to whom she was married at St Martin's Church in the Parish aforesaid in June 1773, that her said husband was born in Charles Court in the Strand in the Parish aforesaid and she this Examinant hath been informed, that her said husband never was bound an apprentice kept house rented a tenement of 10 pounds by the year paid any parish taxes nor was a yearly hired servant in any one place for 12 months together to this Examinant's knowledge, that she hath one child living by her said husband to wit [Charlotta] now with this Examinant, which said child was born in the workhouse aforesaid. Taken the seventh Day of August 1774.
