| Examination Text | Mary Ann Arnold aged 39 Years removed from Saint Margaret Westminster upon her Oath saith that she was never Married that she was the yearly hired servant with Mr William Lindeman No in that part of the Strand which is in the Parish of Saint Martin in the ffields within the Liberty of Westminster for the space of TwoYears and upwards all under one hiring at the Yearly Wages of 7 Pounds Diet & lodging quitted the same about Eighteen Months ago since which she had not been a Yearly hired Servant in any one place for Twelve Months together not done any Act to gain a subsequent Settlement. And this Examinant upon her voluntary Oath further saith that she is now arrayed with Child or Children , which is or are likely to be Born a Bastard or Bastards and to become chargeable to the said Parish of Saint Martin in the ffields and that Thomas Hewlett who is a Plaisterer & lives at No 20 New Peter St Westmr hired several Times carnal Knowledge of or are Body and did beget her with the Child or are Children she now goeth with & is pregnant of and that he the said Thomas Hewlet is the true and only ffather thereof and Man else.
