Examination Text | Mary Jones aged 20 Years ( removed from St James's ) upon her Oath saith that she was never Married that she was a Yearly hired Servant with Mr Stephen Artaud in little Russel Street in the Parish of Saint Martin in the ffields for the space of One Year & Nine Months all under one hiring at the Yearly Wages of Eight Guineas diet & lodging quitted the same end March last since which she hath done i to gain a subsequent Settlement. And this Examinant upon her Oath further Saith that she was on the 10th Day of July last delivered in an Hospital licenced for the reception of Pregnant Woman in Store Street Tottenham Court Road of a Male Bastard Child since baptised John yet living & now chargeable to the said Parish of Saint Martin in the ffields & that a Man who said his name was Davidson did beget of her Body the said Male Bastard Child , but where he is to be found or heard of she knoweth not.
