Examination TextWilliam Gibbons aged 64 Years removed from the Hamlet of Mile End New Town upon his Oath saith that he lived in & rented a house in Hewitts Court in the Parish of Saint Martin in the ffields within the liberty of Westminster for the space of 20 Years at the Yearly Rent of Sixteen Pounds , besides Taxes quitted the same act Christmas 1785 since which he has not rented ten Pounds by the Year paid any Taxesnot done any Act to gain a subsequent Settlement , that he was Married to his present Wife Sarah at St Martins Church April 16th 1766 by whom he had one Child living to wit William Stallwood born March 23d 1775 , that his said Son was never bound Apprentice not done any Act to gain a Settlement in his own Right. Sworn this 24th day January 1791 before Wm Hyde Wm Gibbons
