Examination Text | Margery Nelson aged about 48 years removed by an order of removal from the Parish of Allhallows Barkin [sic] in the City of London to the Parish of St Martin in the Fields upon her oath saith that she is the widow of James Nelson (who died about 10 years ago) to whom she was married at the Parish Church of Morpeth in the County of Northumberland about [blank] years ago, that her said husband was a Shoemaker by trade and lived in and rented an house near White Hart Court in Castle Street in the said Parish of St Martin in the Fields for the space of three quarters of a year at the yearly rent of 16 pounds besides taxes, quitted the same about 12 years ago, that he her said husband hath not kept house rented a tenement of 10 pounds by the year nor paid any parish taxes since, that she this Examinant hath not kept house rented a tenement of 10 pounds by the year paid any parish taxes nor been a yearly hired servant in any one place for 12 months together since the death of her said husband.
