Examination TextJoseph Hague aged about 47 years lodging in Angel Court in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields upon his oath saith that while single and unmarried he was a Covenant Servant to Mr Parry a Bricklayer in Villers Street in the Parish aforesaid for the space of five years and that the said Mr Parry was to give him meat drink washing lodging and cloaths in lieu of wages, quitted the same about 17 years ago, that he hath not kept house rented a tenement of 10 pounds by the year paid any parish taxes nor hath been a yearly hired servant in any one place for 12 months together since. [Scored through:] that he was married to his present wife Mary at the Parish Church of St. George Hanover Square about 17 years ago, by whom he hath two children to wit Mary aged about 10 years and another child not yet christened. Sworn the 2nd Day of January 1778 before [blank].
