Examination Text | Jane Smith aged 37 years upon her oath saith that she never was married, that she was yearly hired servant to Mr Breadmore a Victualler at the sign of the Thistle and Crown in Church Court in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields for the space of one year and an half all under one hiring at the yearly wages of 5 pounds diet and lodging, quitted the same about seven years ago, that she never kept house rented a tenement of 10 pounds by the year paid any parish taxes nor been yearly hired servant in any one place for 12 months together since. Sworn the 19th Day of October 1776 before Thomas Bullard. |
