| Examination Text | William Welch aged 25 years in the workhouse of and in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields upon his oath saith that he never was bound an apprentice kept house rented a tenement of 10 pounds by the year paid any parish taxes nor was yearly hired servant in any one place for 12 months together, that his Father Edward Welch lived in and rented an house in Vine St in the Parish aforesaid for the space of eight years at the yearly rent of 12 pounds besides taxes, that he this Examinant's Father never kept house rented a tenement of 10 pounds by the year nor paid any parish taxes since he quitted the aforesaid house.
