Examination TextSophia Belcher aged about 41 years destitute of lodging upon her Oath saith That she is the Widow of John Belcher (who deid about eiught years ago), That since the death of said husband (having no child living) she was a yearly hired servant to Mrs. Archer a Victualler at the Sign of the Rose in that part of Rose Street which is in the parish of St Martin in the Fields for the space of two years and upwards all at one time at the yearly wages of five pounds diet and lodging quitted the same about two or three years ago, That she hath not kept house rented a tenement of ten pounds by the year paid any Parish taxes nor been a yearly hired Servant in any one place for twelve months together since. Sworn the 18th Day of July 1782.
