Examination Text | Mary White aged about 50 years and upwards on her Oath saith she is the Widow of Edward White (who died about 20 years ago) to whom she was married at the Romish Chapel in Lincoln's Inn Fields about thirty three years ago, That her said Husband was a Baker by Trade and lived in and rented an House in Russell Street near Drury Lane in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields fo rthe space of four years at the yearly rent of twenty pounds besides taxes, That her said husband never kept house rented a tenement of ten pounds by the year nor paid any Parish taxes nafter he quitted the aforesaid house, Nor hath she this Examinant nor been a yearly hired servant in any one place for twelve months together since the death of her said husband. Sworn the 9th Day of August 1781 before William Hyde. |
