Examination TextMary White aged Twenty Seven Years Saith she sat up last night in the Street facing Cranborn Alley in this Parish and the two Nights before that lodged in a Cellar with a woman who keeps the same under a House on the East Side of Little St Martin's Lane in the Parish of St Martin in the ffields Saith she is the wife of Alexander White now in the Marshalsea Prison to whom she was marryed at the hand and Pen in ffleet Lane about twelve years ago that her said Husband was born somewhere in the Parish of St Clements Danes as she hath heard but knows not whereabouts and that his ffather Thomas White who was a Staymaker kept house in Earls Court in the Parish of St Martin in the ffields twenty years at the yearly Rent of twenty Pounds and then he quitted the same about ffive years ago and that he never took any other house since Saith that her said Husband follows the business of a Stayamar. which learned of his ffather in Earl's Court aforesd and that he continued to work for him at his said house as a Journeyman till his said ffather quitted that House and that he never kept house rented ten pounds by the year paid any parish Taxes or was a yearly hired Servant hath four Children by her said Husband living to wit Anne aged nine years born in Earl's Court aforesaid Sarah aged seven years born at the same Place William aged five years born in Maynard Street St Giless and Elizabeth aged Eight Months born also in Maynard Street aforesaid Sworn the 15th June 1737 before me Jas: Fraser The marke of Mary White
