Examination Text | John Lewis aged Twenty ffive Years lodging at one Mr Gormon's in Moor's Yard where he hath lodged a fortnigt Saith he was bound an Apprentice by Indenture by the Officers of the Parish of St Bennet Pauls Wharf to one John Vincent a Staymaker who kept house the Sign of the Golden Key in Earls Court Drury Lane within the Parish of Saint Martin in the ffields and served two years of his Apprenticeship there his said Master then fitted him out to sea and sent him with his Son on board the Edinburgh Man of War and was a twelvemonth at the Baltick then came back and served his Master in Earls Court aforesaid one year more who then dyed and he this Examinant fell lame and had the remainder of his Time given up and never was turned over to any Person kept house rented ten Pounds by the year or paid any Parish Taxes afterwards Sworn the day of 1735 |
