Examination TextAnn Clark aged Seventy years lodging at one Mr McDougal's in Shandois Street in this parish where she hath lodged two months saith she is the widow of William Clark who dyed Eight years ago to whom she was marryed at the ffleet twenty years since Saith he was born in Scotland was never an apprentice kept house of eight pounds by the year rent Cook's Alley in Bedford Bury but never paid any rate to the poor nor Paid ten pounds by the year rent for any house a Tenement nor never was a yearly hired Servant nor had no Children living at the time of his Death Saith she was born in Scotland that she never was an apprentice hath lived in several services in this parish before marriage and last of all to one Mrs Mitchell who kept the Rainbow Coffee house the Corner of St Martin's Lane two years had four pounds by the year Wages Diet and Lodging and marryed within a Quarter of a year after Leaving that Service and hath never been a Servant since her Husbands Death Sworn the 29 Death of January 1734 Before Wm Miller The mark of Ann Clark
