Examination Text | Jane Murray aged about thirty years (in the workhouse) Saith she was born at the Duke of Ormond's Head an Alehouse in St Martins Lane near the End of Dukes Court where her ffather and Mother at the time lodged and who before that kept a house of sixpounds by the year Rent in Moor's Yard in St Martin Lane aforesaid several years Saith he was never an apprentice or yearly hired servant as she ever heard That he was a watchman several years in this parish Saith her mother Dorothy Murray before marriage was a yearly hired Servant to one Mrs Hind the Corner of the Hop Garden in St Martins Lane whom she served (as she informed her) several years before marriage And that her said mother is now in the Almshouse belonging to this parish Saith she was never marryed never an Apprentice never kept house or rented ten pounds by the year Sworn the Day of 1734 before |
