Examination Text | Jane Johnston aged near 50 years in the Workhouse Saith she is the widow of David Johnston who died Nine Months ago that he was by Trade a Carpenter but knows not where he served his time but believes somewhere in Scotland Saith she was married to him at St Martins Church above twenty years agoe but hath no Children by him and that they kept House in Bedford Bury over against the half Moon and Candle for which they paid Ten pounds by the year Rent and to the Poor for the same kept the same three years and three Quarters and left it twelve years ago and that they or either of them or she since her Husband's Decease have or hath kept other House rented ten Pounds by the year or paid any Parish Taxes Sworn the day of before |
