Examination TextWelthyern Fry aged about 33 years(now in the workhouse of the Parish of St Martin in the fields) Saith she is the wife of Hugh Fry a Grenadier in the Ist Regiment of foot Guards to whom she was marryed at Froom in Somersetshire about four years agoe, Saith her said Husband as he told her was born at Frome aforesaid that he was never an apprentice yearly hired Servant or Housekeeper as she had heard that he at the time of her Marriage with him workt at the Mills but not as a yearly servant Saith she was born at Taunton Dean in Somersetshire and that she was a yearly hired Servant to one Andrew Hambden at the White Horse in Chandois Street near into Seymour Court about Eight years agoe whom she served about three years and that she had abt 4£ by the Wages Diet and Lodging and that she never lived a year in any service Since, Saith she hath one Child by her said Husband named Mary born in the workhouse aged about one Month Sworn the 16th Day of October 1734 before Jas Fraser The Mark of Welthern Fry
