Examination TextThomas Wintrop aged about Thirty Six years lodging in Vinegar Yard in the parish of St Martin in the fields upon his Oath Saith that he was born in St James Clerkenwell and was bound an apprentice to Michael Clemmins a Perukemaker for seven years and hired with him upwards of Three years in St James Street in the parish of St James Westmr then his said Master took House in St Martins Street where he served the remainder of his time within about three months at which time his said Master left the Trade and he this Examinant went to Journeywork and that he never rented Ten pounds a year paid any Parochial Taxes or was a yearly hired Servant Since his Apprenticeship that he was married to his now wife Susanna at the ffleet about five years ago hath one Son William aged four years Sworn the 5th day of Augt 1735 before Jas Fraser Thomas Wintrop 4th Augt past from Kent a Cert gr to Hollynone in Kent
