Examination TextMary Roberts aged about 24 years in the workhouse saith she was never married an Apprentice or an Housekeeper that she was a yearly hired Servant to Brigadier John Desboard then and now Lodging at one Mr Brousset in Halfmoon Street in this parish who served there about 13 or 14 Months had 6£ Pr and wages Diet and Lodging quitted her said Service about 2 years agoe and never was in any Service Since and further saith that she is big with Child and that one Daniel Bridges late an Apprentice to one Mr Peck a Linnen Draper at the Kings Arms in ffleet Street had sometime in the Month of ffebruary last the carnal knowledge of her Body on her Body on her Bed in the Back Garret of the said Mr Pecks House and Several times afterwards on the same Bed and elsewhere and that he the said Daniel Bridges is the true and only ffather of the Child or Children she now goeth with and is pregnant off and no Man else Removed fr St Brides London
