Examination Text | Sarah King aged near 21 Years now in the Workhouse Saith she was never Married was born in Chelmsford in Essex And that she was a Yearly hired Servt to one Mr Henry Thompson at the Globe Tavern at Charing Cross agt the Hay Markett had 50s Pr Ann Wages Diet and Lodging and lived with him there about a year and an half left the same about a ffortnight agoe Saith she is great with Child and that one John Tomb an Irishman who lived a fellow Servant with her at the Globe Tavern had Carnal Knowledge of her Body about 6 weeks before Easter last upon his Bed in the fforegarret & once afterwards in the said Garret at one of which Times he begat her with Child of the Child or Children she now goeth with and is pregnant of And that the said John Tomb is the true and only ffather thereof and no Man else |
