Examination TextLettice Smith aged about 57 years in the workhouse Saith she is the Wido of William Smith who died upwards of Two years Since to whom she was married at the fleet abt ten yeares agoe Saith her Said husband was a Jappanner by Trade & served his Time to one Mr in St James's Clerkenwell Saith she hath heard he was a Covenant Servt to a Silk Mercer near Durham yard before her Marriage wth him where he lived two years as she hath heard but wt wages he had or whether Meat Drink and Lodging knoweth not believes he was then married to his former wife Saith he kept House in Jollys Court in Durham Yard of 8£ Pr Ann as she hath heard but whether he pd any Taxes for the same knoweth not saith she never had any Child by her sd Husbd and that she never lived a yr in any Service Since the Death of her sd husband
