Examination TextHenry Bourne aged 49 years and upwards passed from the Parish of St Anne within the liberty of Westminster to the Parish of St Martin in the Fields in the same liberty upon his oath saith that he never was bound an apprentice, that while single and unmarried he was a yearly hired servant in the capacity of a Body Servant to William Hickman Esq, Lt Col of the Welsh Fusiliers for the space of three years and two months at the yearly wages of £8 7 shillings a week board wages, that the last two months of this Examinant's said service before his intermarriage was at Mr Newman's, a Turner near Coventry Court in the Haymarket in the said Parish of St Martin in the Fields (where his said Master then lodged), and then and there intermarried, that the last six weeks service to his said Master after his intermarriage was at Dover, that he was there discharged his said Master's service, that he never kept house rented a tenement of 10 pounds by the year paid any parish taxes, that he was married to his present wife Sarah at the Fleet the 10th day of November in the year 1751 by whom he hath three children living to wit Catherine aged 12 years, John aged six years and George aged three years and upwards all now with this Examinant. Sworn the second Day of January 1766 before Peter Planck.
