Examination TextRichard Stanton aged 38 years in the workhouse (being removed from the Parish of St Andrew Holborn above the Bars in the County of Middlesex) saith he is by trade a Glass Grinder and was bound apprentice by indenture for seven years to Peter Taylor senior, a Glass Grinder who kept house against Red Lyon Court in Long Acre in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields whom he there served three years, and then he dying he was turned over to Peter Taylor his son who continued to keep the same house and follow the same business which his father did, and to whom he there served all the remainder of his said apprenticeship which expired nine years ago, and since which he hath not kept any house rented 10 pounds per ann. paid any parish taxes or been a yearly hired servant, that he was married to Sarah his wife at St Martin in the Fields Church eight years ago and hath two children by her (to wit) Robert aged two years and Elizabeth near a year.
