Examination TextElizabeth Owen aged 34 years in the workhouse saith she is the wife of Richard Owen (who hath been confined for debt in the Marshalsea a month) to whom she was married at St Bennet Pauls Wharf Church upwards of three years ago and hath two children by him (to wit) Richard aged about 20 months and Ann aged one month, that her said husband is by trad a Jeweller and was bound apprentice by indenture for seven years to one Mr Bishop, a Jeweller in New Street in St Martin's Lane in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields where and with whom he served all his said apprenticeship as he hath oftentimes informed this Examinant and hath not kept any house rented 10 pounds per ann. paid any parish taxes or been a yearly hired servant since the expiration thereof, which is about six years ago.
