Examination TextMary Varo aged near 25 years removed from St George Hanover Square saith she never was married bound apprentice kept any house rented 10 pounds per ann. or paid any parish taxes, that she was a yearly hired servant to Mr Mayllen a Butcher in Dukes Court in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields for the space of two years and had 3 pounds per ann. wages diet and lodging, that she quitted that service two years ago and had not been a year in any service since, that she is now Great with child which is or are likely to be born a bastard or bastards and become chargeable to the Parish of St Martin in the Fields within the liberty of Westminster in the County of Middlesex, and the one David Leguiniere a journeyman Staymaker whom she hath heard worked for a Staymaker by Red Lyon Square in Holborn had carnal knowledge of her body some time in or about the month of February last past on a bed in the Kitchin of the house of Mr Clancey in Church Lane in this Parish, and that she hath heard or seen or heard of or seen Leguiniere since [sic], and that the said David Leguiniere is the true and only father of the child or children she now goeth with and is pregnant of and no man else.
