Examination Text | Elizabeth Harris aged 46 years lodging at one Mrs Cooper in Durham Yard in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields saith she is the widow of Henry Harris (who has been dead six years) to whom she was married at Newington Butts 21 years ago, that he lived in and rented an house known by the sign of the Two Sawyers in Cross Lane in the said Parish of St Martin in the Fields for half a year 27 pounds per ann. quitted the same about 19 years ago and never kept house rented 10 pounds by the year paid any parish taxes nor was a yearly hired servant afterwards, nor she this Examinant since his death, hath no child. Sworn the first Day of January 1745 before James Fraser. |
