Examination Text | Mary Thomas aged 30 years destitute of lodging upon her oath saith she is the wife of David Thomas (who is gone from her), that her husband was a Taylor but where he served his time this Examinant can't tell, that he lived in and rented an house in Earls Court in Drury Lane in the Parish of St Martin in the Fields for the space of one year and an half at the yearly rent of 18 pounds per ann. besides taxes, quitted the same about six months ago, that he never gained any subsequent settlement since nor she this Examinant since her husband's departure. Sworn this first Day of April 1746 James Fraser. |
