Examination TextHumility Meeks aged about Sixty Years, in the Workhouse of and in the Parish of Saint Martin in the Fields, on her Oath saith, that she is the Wife of William Meeks; to whom she was married by Banns at the Parish Church of Saint Martin in the Fields twenty seven years ago that her said Husband was bound an Apprentice by an Indenture until he shou?d attain the Age of twenty one years by the Officers of the Parish of Saint Mary le Strand to Mr. Tight a Cordwainer in Cross Lane near Long Acre, and with him served out the full Term of his said Apprenticeship, that her said Husband hath not kept House paid parish Taxes, rented a tenement of tenpounds by the Year, nor hath been a yearly hired Servant in anyone Place for twelve Months together. // Sworn the 4th day of Augst 1786 Before John Collick // Humility Meeks her Mark // L A Wd // Pr
