Description | Considered the Case of Elizabeth Haynes 18 years old. She has been 6 or 7 months a Prostitute. She formerly lived with Mrs. Griffiths in Water Lane. She has been accused of being concerned with two others in stealing a watch from a man in Drury Lane, was tried the present Sessions and acquitted. She was previously in St. Bartholomew's Hospital, which she left of her own accord before she was cured. Upon her discharge from prison, she betook herself to her Father who is a Coal Heaver & lives at the Bull's head in Hungerford market, who recommended her to the Care of Mrs. Lampard No. 4 Gloster Court St. Ann's Black friars. Mrs. Lampard says, she has known Petitioner from her Birth: her mother died some years since & the father having lived with another women, has left his Daughter exposed to all manner of evil. The Surgeon having reported, that she is much diseased; Resolved, that 1s/6' a day be allowed for her board & lodging with Mrs. Lampard until admission can be obtained for her into St. Thomas' Hospital. |
