This Indenture Witnesseth That William Davis< no role > & Edward Clarke< no role > Churchwardens
John Henley< no role > John Hughes< no role > John Lacey< no role > & Samll: Whitmore< no role > Overseers of the poore of the
Parish of St. Clement Danes in the County of Middx Smith the assent of Hugh
Chamberlen & Loonard Hancock Esqrs : Justices of the peace for the County of Middx
& Citty & liberty of Westmr: according to the Statute in that case made & Provided
Have putt Elizabeth Litchfeild< no role > apprentice to Robert Tyler< no role > of the parish of St.
Giles in the feilds in the County of Middx Cordwainer and with him after the
manner of an Apprentice to dwell & serve from the day of the date hereof unto the
full end & terme of Eight yeares from thence next ensueing & fully to be compleate &
ended Dureing all which Said terme [..] oe the Church wardens & Overseers of the
Poore with the assent aforosaid doe order & appointe the said Eliz Litchfeild well &
failthfully her said master Shall serve his secretts keepe his comandmts. lawfull
honest every where shall gladly doe hurt to her said Mar: shee shall not doe
nor consent to be done of other but that shee to her power shall prvent the
same or else from time to time admonish him thereof the goods of her
said Mar. shee shall not wast nor them to anybody lend without his consent
neither from his service by day or night shall not absent herself Taverns or
Alehouses shee shall not frequent at Cards dire or any other unlawfull game
shee shall not play whereby her Mar: may receive an prsudue Fornicacon Shee
Shall not comitt Matrimony dureing the said terme shee shall not contract
but in all things as a good & faithfull servt. ought to doe shall behave herself
towards her said Mar: & all his dureing the said terme And the said Robert
Tyler shall teach & instruct or cause to be taught & instructed his said
Apprentice Goods housewiferice according to the best method he caim
And shall give to & provide for his said apprentice sufficient Meale drink
washing lodging apparrell & all other necessary meete & convenient for
such an Apprentice dureing the said terme And for the true Pformance of
all the articles in forme aforesaid to be kept the said parties to these
Prsent Indertures bind themselves each to other by these Prsents In
Witnesse whereof the parties to these Prsent Indentures Interchangeably
have sett their hans & seales the Twenty Ninth of June in the Fourth
yeare of the reigne of King William & Queene Mary over
England & Annoqz Dui 1692
