1747 by any Inhabitant or Inhabitants capable
of Paying the same that Application be made
to the Justices of the Peace to Issue their Warrts.
of Distress agt. such Person or Persons so Refusing
or Neglecting to Pay & if any Actions or
other Prosecutions shall be Comenced agt. the
Justices of the Peace Signing such Warrts. of
Distress or the Scavengers or other Persons
Executing the same that such Actions or
other Prosecutions shall be Defended by the
Church wardens for the time being & the Costs
allowed them in their Account
