This Vestry took into Consideration the Mode of Paymt. to be
made relative to the intended Petition to Parliament for westing the
Managent. of Paving lighting and Cleansing the Streets &c in the
hands of the Committee Appointed by the Vestry instead of the Ge [..]
Commission And it being Alledged that £300 or there abouts might
be Wanted for the Purpose of carrying in the Bill & Passing the
same into a Law. And, Mr. Rainforth having Offered to lend the
same at 5 P 6t. till such time as the [..] same shod. be Paid of
And it being also alledged and that there might be a Surplus of
£100. or Upwards in the Churchwardens hands on settling his acct.
a Motion was there upon made by Mr. Stone and seconded by Mr.
Brooks and the Question put Whr. such surplus remaining in the
Churchwardens Hands on Setting his Accts shod. be paid to the sd.
Mr. Rainforth in Part of the sd. £300. or so much as shod. be
necessary for the purposes assd. and the remainder to be made
good by the Parish at Large and on the Question being putt the
