one of his Majesty's Justices of the Peace for the County
of Middlesex
and City and Liberty of Westminster
that on the 28th. day of February 1766. she was delivered
of a Mate Bastard Child in the house of Mr. Walker
Hairdresser in Hollywell Street in this Parish and
that John Jakins< no role >
Servant
to the Secretary of Count
Bruhl in Piccadilly and no other person is the true
and real Father thereof in consequence of which the
said Magistrate issued his Warrant for apprehending the
the said John Jakins< no role >
to answer said Complaint which
Warrant was delivered to Mr. Fox one of the Constables
of the Dutchy Liberty in this Parish who accordingly
apprehended the said John Jakins< no role >
and had him in his
Custody
till Mr. Ernst his Master (as the said Mr. Fox
now acquaints this Vestry) came to the House of the said
Mr. Fox and rescued the Prisoner on which the said
Mr. Fox took Mr. Ernst before the above Magistrate when he
promised to see the said Jakins forth coming to answer
the said Complaint but hath since refused to surrender
him therefore the said Mr. Fox applys to this Vestry to be
indemnifyd from any consequences that may attend
the Execution of the said Warrant and likewise prays to
be indemnifyd from any consequences which may attend
the Execution of any future Warrants for Bastardy.
