Signed the Poor Rate for the fourth Quarter.

Resolved that this Parish to join St. Andrews Holborn in opposing a Bill
which the Law Societies are said to be carrying into Parliament to exempt
themselves from Payment of the Rates for relief of that Parish and this.

The General Sense of the Gentlemen present was greatly against a Rate to be made
on them by Authority of Parliament to make a Suitable Provision for the Rector
of this Parish but they almost unanimoulsly Agree'd that a proper Provision
ought to be made for him and that they would willingly contribute towards such
Provision for him by half yearly Payments according to the following Place
of these Sums Vizt.
