Drunkenness & Ill behaviour to the several persons in
the Kitchen

Mr. Robinson the Master was called in & on
Examination say'd he generally was intoxicated
every daynever hardly did any Work
had only Brew'd twice himselfpart of
the last Brewing lost thro' Neglectfrequent
Quarrels between him & the People below

Margt Dempster< no role > was called say'd That
Mears Frequently was in LiquorThat he
was very quarrelsome with the people below Stair

Ann Simpson< no role > Says he is frequent [..]
Drunk 3 or 4 times a Week

Jane Hale< no role > saw Mears & a Woman at
the public Housesaw him take a 1st of
Butter & alb of Cheese out of his Pocket abt.
4 Months agoHe was much in Liquor at
the same time

Mary Cole< no role > says he's Drunk every day
That they are continually Quarrelling

Mr. Hunt say'd he was frequently in
Liquor all times in the day & of a very bad
Temper

Mears presented a Petition Stating
he was innocent & to which was Read

The Board took the Matter into Considn.
Mears was called indenied the whole

Ordd. That He be discharged
